Thank you, Jeff!  Fantastic shots of Jim!  I think that guy could have won Mr. Olympia back then, he could have given "The Oak" and "The Myth" a REAL run for their money!  Grin

He doesn`t suffer by comparison at all in the shot with Franco and "The Oak".

I saw Jim win the MR. America in York, PA, and always thought he had a great physique (even though I would have given that show to Boyer Coe).

Dick Falcon, who took all those photos of Jim, told me that no matter what Jim did, he just couldn't get the arm development he really needed, but I agree with Jeff, about what a great structure the man has.  Those photos on the Tampa beach that graced so many covers of Strength & Health and Muscular Development are some of the finest physique covers ever taken.

By the way, he won the Master's Mr. Florida.  Has anyone seen or have access to photos from that contest?

i was lucky enough to get in touch with Mr. Haislop recently. I told him of this website and he would like to know more. i will be writting him again tomorrow and i'll keep my fingers crossed and hope he comes to join us here. He's 67 this month and he still trains "of course my training is not the same caliber of the old days". I will keep you posted.

It would be great if you could get an interview for this site. I'm sure it would be interesting to know how he trained back in the day and how he trains now.  Also, why he seemed to disappear from the scene.
