"Using the whole egg was preferred as the fat in the yolk was used for energy and not stored as fat."

These statements crack me up. Maybe he thinks they weren't stored as fat but he states it as fact.  Not likely.  I think Arnold has had a bypass or two....

I won't dispute anything in the article, but my point was that Drasin states as fact that the fat was not stored.  This is impossible for him to know for sure.  That being said,  I believe that food 'science', (nutritionism, etc)  is even more speculative than fact.  Not quite as bad as the 'science' behind health supplemets, but close!

The book 'In Defense of Food' raises some interesting questions about the general healthiness of the 'Western diet' compared to all other diets in other regions of the world.
